The wingtip mount bracket is a great low cost solution for Diamond DA-40/-42 aircraft that were previously unable to use the uAvionix SkyBeacon or uAvionix TailBeacon.
The wingtip bracket was designed by CAV for their own aircraft, and to fill a void for aircraft owners that couldn’t use the SkyBeacon products and were forced to spend as much as $12,000 to $14,000 on more complex ADS-B out solutions.
These and many other aircraft are unable to use the Uavionix SkyBeacon and TailBeacon because they have no tail light and the wingtip mounted SkyBeacon does not include a tail light.
This machined 6061-T6 Aircraft Grade Aluminum bracket is FAA-PMA Approved. It is CNC machined to perfectly mount the SkyBeacon, and also allow the mount an additional tail light on the wingtip.
